Paradise - Coldplay

Hoy, 19 de octubre de 2011, los chicos de Coldplay han estrenado el videoclip de la canción Paradise. No me esperaba gran cosa la verdad, pero he de decir que el video me ha encantado. Lo protagoniza un elefantito super mono que se escapa de un zoo y termina en África (esto es el super resumen xD). Los paisajes son preciosos y el que un tipo disfrazado de elefante vaya en el metro de Londres me parece todo un puntazo, para que negarlo... Sin alargarme más de lo necesario os pongo el video para que lo veais (si todavía no lo habeis hecho).

I've just seen a face - The Beatles

Me encantan los Beatles. Los escucho muchísimo (de hecho siempre hay canciones suyas en mi mp3 y mi cuenta de lastfm os lo puede confirmar xD). Pero me estoy dando cuenta de que no he puesto muchas canciones suyas en el blog... Pero prometo empezar a poner más canciones de ellos.

A lo que iba, hace unos meses me dió por escuchar los discos de los Beatles uno por uno (que si el album azul, el rojo...) porque conocía las canciones, pero no de qué disco eran. Hasta ahora diré que mi favorito es el Blue album y después le sigue Help!.Justamente en éste disco es donde aparece esta canción que os traigo hoy: I've just seen a face.

Descubrí la canción gracias a la peli Across the Universe (si todavía no la habeis visto ya estais tardando!), asi que os pongo un video de la peli y no de los Beatles en sí. Y es que donde esté Jim Sturgess que se quite Paul McCartney (que es quien canta la canción) aunque salga de joven.

What makes a man - City and Colour

Descubrí a City and Colour gracias a la serie One Tree Hill (lo sé, la serie no es muy allá, pero me ha descubierto unos cuantos grupos de música, asi que aun le doy oportunidades...). A lo que iba, City and Colour no es un grupo, sino Dallas Green (de ahí lo de ciudad y color). Según wikipedia antes Dallas era parte del grupo alexisonfire (yo no los conozco, ¿vosotros?). 

Os dejo con la canción What makes a man. Es tranquilita, perfecta para días de lluvia (o días rojos como diría Holly Golightly). Espero que os guste.

Artículos de ocasión - David Trueba

Creo que ya he comentado alguna vez que David Trueba es uno de mis escritores favoritos. Cuando descubres un autor que te gusta sueles ir leyendo (más bien devorando) todos sus libros como si no hubiera mañana. Por ahora David Trueba ha publicado 4 libros: Cuatro amigos, Saber perder, Abierto toda la noche y Artículos de ocasión.

Hasta ahora había leído los 3 primeros y me gustaron mucho (de hecho, los recomiendo). Pero había un libro de esa lista que me era imposible encontrar (ahora sé la causa...). Imaginad mi alegría cuando fisgando en las estanterías de la biblioteca de la Alhóndiga descubrí "Artículos de ocasión". Empecé a leerlo con mucha ilusión, pero, todo mi gozo en un pozo. Menudo truño de libro!!!

He llegado hasta la página 60, pero cada palabra párrafo era un suplicio. Por el título ya sabía que no iba a ser ninguna novela, pero me niego a creer que esos artículos cortos (bastante absurdos) son creación de la misma persona que ha escrito esas obras maestras como cuatro amigos o saber perder.

PS. Qué pena que la primera reseña de un libro abandonado sea de David Trueba, pero es que me ha parecido malo hasta decir basta...

Ayer estaba en un bar y pusieron esta canción. Todo estaría bien si no fuera porque me sabía la letra de la canción y era incapaz de recordar de quién era. ¿Cómo no pude recordar que era de mis queridos The Cure? en fin... no sé si os suele pasar esto, pero cuando a mi me pasa me pone de los nervios. Pero una ver resuelto el misterio (gracias san google) aprovecho y os pongo la canción, que es perfecta para una mañana de sábado soleada.
