Coldplay's Bests IV

Después de un parón vuelvo con los Coldplay's Bests y sigo con otra de mis favoritas:

Creo que la canción salió en el EP Sparks (del año 2000), pero yo la descubrí en el dvd del concierto Live 2003 (que demuestra claramente que los conciertos de Coldplay son la leche). Me encanta muchísimo la versión, las luces que ponen... todo! Ya me diréis que os parece...

Coldplay's Bests III

Viendo el éxito que tiene el disco Parachutes en los comentarios, voy a seguir recabando opiniones sobre otros discos de Coldplay. Esta vez le toca a "A Rush of Blood to the Head" (2002) y voy a empezar con The Scientist. Y es que creo que esta fue la primera canción de Coldplay que me encantó e hizo que me interesara por el grupo.

El vídeo es algo extraño, y es que las imágenes están puestas al revés de como se grabaron (lo entenderéis mejor cuando lo veáis). Empieza con Chris Martin en un colchón y vemos como va pasando por una ciudad hasta llegar al bosque y.... xD.

Sobretodo, destacaría el hecho de que Martin se "aprendió la letra" (al revés) para que cuando se viera el vídeo pareciera que cantaba la canción (esto es un puntazo en mi opinión). Y sin más dilación, os dejo con el vídeo:

SPIES!!!

En mi opinión esta es una de las canciones más bonitas de Coldplay. La canción está incluida en el primer álbum de estudio del grupo: Parachutes (2000). A pesar de ser el primer disco, diría que muchas de las mejores canciones de Coldplay están ahí (everything's not lost, don't panic, shiver, yellow, trouble...). Y es que desde entonces la banda ya prometía...
 Ahora que lo pienso, la verdad es que sería un puntazo que la tocaran en directo. A los que venís conmigo al festival, ¿qué os parece si llevamos un cartel al concierto? xDD

Coldplay's Bests I

Como ya dije, tengo previsto hacer unas cuantas entradas con las que a mi juicio son las mejores canciones de Coldplay. No sé cuantas saldrán. Supongo que si me paso de 20 pararé o si muchos me decís que ya estais hasta las narices de Coldplay... (aunque el blog es mio xD). Y es que respecto a Coldplay soy  una super fan.

Voy a empezar con una de las últimas canciones, concretamente Viva la Vida, que es la que dio nombre al último disco (Viva la Vida or Death and all his friends). La canción habla de cómo un rey ve como se desmorona su reino y el mundo tal y como lo conoce. Según he leído por internet, el rey en cuestión sería Luis XVI (el que era rey de Francia al comenzar la revolución francesa). Lo que tampoco nos sorprendería mucho si hemos visto la portada del disco.

Como en este videoclip Chris Martin me da tanto yuyu (ya sé que está así por el efecto "cuadro" y que es lo que buscan) también os dejo una versión en directo del concierto que hicieron en la BBC:

Aprovecho para dejaros una versión de Viva la Vida que hicieron un coro de niños de Nueva York. Lo gracioso de este coro de niños es que se han hecho famosos vía youtube por hacer versiones de canciones actuales.
